Meet Mateo
Mateo's journey started when he was a baby. Our staff was able to identify early on that Mateo would need a special lesson plan to see successful growth. Being non-verbal, Mateo expressed himself differently from his peers. However, this did not deter our team from pouring into his development each day. Painting quickly became a soothing technique when he became overstimulated. At the end of his time at Growing Futures, Mateo began making eye contact, connecting with peers and expressing himself in a productive way.

Thousands of children living in Johnson County, KS are eligible for our services at Growing Futures. However, with limited funding and space, we are unable to enroll 60% of our waitlist.
